Organization Mission Statement

Our Mission is to enrich Campbell River by:

  • Developing a permanent endowment for the greater community
  • Responding to emerging community needs 
  • Appealing to Donors with varied interests and levels of giving 
  • Serving as a Catalyst for local charitable activities

The organization serves the following population

The Foundation serves the population contained within the boundaries of School District #72, including Sayward, Quadra and Cortes Islands, the City of Campbell River and all regional areas within S.D. #72.

The funds donated will be used to

Provide vital information by compiling local data about the area and tracking it over time to deepen our knowledge and understanding of our community's needs (Vital Signs). This report is a valuable tool for all non-profit groups, local government, businesses and residents. The format captures issues that are important to the quality of life and health; it provides a basis from which to celebrate our community's assets and find innovative solutions to build a stronger Campbell River area.

The organizations current sources of funding are

The Foundation is building a permanent endowment through donations from individuals who start Family Funds, and organizations. The endowment is now over $2 million, and only the interest is used for grants to non-profit, charitable organizations with projects each year that enhance the community's way of life. The City and other partners contribute to the publication of Vital Signs every two years, but the endowment itself receives its funding through local donors.
