The organization serves the following population
Campbell River Family Services Society (CRFSS) is a multi-funded, multi service organization that serves the life spectrum from pre-birth to seniors.

This funds will be used for our Connections Program, we have secured funding to provide four, 6 week groups, this fiscal year but have no continued funding beyond March 31, 2019 to offer this incredibly valuable program. We were selected as one of 30 sites across Canada to receive the training in Toronto as well as to participate in 4 years of research conducted by York University (3 years remaining). Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive from the first group and we have a wait-liist already for the second group. Connections is a group where mothers struggling with substance misuse and experiencing interpersonal violence , or past experience with IPV, can explore their experiences and examine the impact on their parenting, their substance use, and their children’s development. The Connections group was designed as a first step in supporting women to understand that there is an association between their past experiences, their interpersonal relationships and their parenting.
The organizations current sources of funding are
Our organization funders are the Province of British Columbia, Vancouver Island Health Authority and Public Health Agency of Canada however there is no funding for the layette project proposed and we have only pieced together funding to finish this year of Connections group. There will be no further funding to support the Connections Group.
