How It Works

JOIN US. BECOME A MEMBER. MAKE AN IMMEDIATE LOCAL IMPACT.

SIMPLE and EFFICIENT 

• To become a Member you sign a commitment form that commits you to donating $100.

• Once you've submitted your commitment form, then you donate your $100. Two easy ways to donate:

1. By E-transfer. Follow the instructions from your bank and when it asks for a contact or who to send to use email address . When asked for a password, please use 100womencr.
2. By cheque to 100 Women Campbell River and include 100 Women Who Care donation in the memo section. Drop off your cheque at Coastal Notary Group, 440 - 10th Avenue, Campbell River, BC.

• Attend a 100 minute meeting. Check out our upcoming events.

• Each member who has signed a commitment form and made her $100 donation may vote at the meeting (by secret ballot) to select one charity to receive a $10,000+ donation.

• Any registered member may nominate a charity to be considered to receive the group donation.

• Nominated charities must serve the Campbell River area.

• The selected charity must agree not to give out member information to any third parties

HOW TO NOMINATE

Each registered member who has made their $100 donation is eligible to nominate a local charity. A Nomination form must be submitted for the charity you are nominating.

Click here to confirm the charity you are nominating is a registered organization. All nominations will be confirmed that they meet the nomination criteria.

Charities under consideration to receive the group donation must serve the local Campbell River area.

A member of the organizing committee will confirm that the nomination meets criteria. Someone will contact the nominee within a few days of the submission if there is a problem. 

CHARITY DRAW

All nominated charities will be added to the charity draw.

Charities may be nominated by more than one member. The charity will have their name in the draw for each nomination (if a charity has 5 nominations from 5 different members they will have 5 nominations in the draw).

Each member can only have 1 nomination in the draw at any given time.

The charity who receives the funds will not be eligible for nomination for 3 years. 

HOW TO VOTE

Each registered member who has made their $100 donation is eligible to vote. Voting will only take place at the meeting.

3 charities will be drawn at the meeting, those 3 members who's nominations are drawn will give a 5 minute presentation. Members will vote by secret ballot following the presentation for 1 of the 3 drawn charities. There is no proxy voting so you must be in attendance to vote.

If a tie persists, a vote by a show of hands will take place.

The charity with the highest member votes will receive a $10,000+ donation.

Complete your member commitment form and then donate:
